I'm another one who just started using starch after reading this thread! I found the Sta-Flo at Walmart. I can practically shuffle my 4" blocks like playing cards! My military SIL says he used to use that for his uniforms. (new ones don't need ironing) I'm convinced! Thanks to you all.

My BGF and I buy Best Press direct from Mary Ellen's website, it is still a bit pricey, but we usually split the cost on a gallon at a time, and its not so bad. Lasts quite a while, and you can make it as stiff as you want by repeating the sprays with it.

I still have a box of the powdered Faultless; I do the boiling and go by the directions as to how stiff I want my fabric to be and apply the tablespoons full accordingly. I hung my clothes out and then I take them off the line when they are just damp, right for ironing and put them in a plastic sack and start ironing. If I don't finish the group, I put them in the refrigerator to avoid molding.

I like the Sta-Flo concentrate too. Would like to find fabric sizing concentrate in a bottle too. Anyone know where I could find it?

Right now, Joann's website has the gallon jugs of Best Press on sale for $29.39. It has every scent of Best Press on sale including the unscented.

Right now, there is also a coupon code you can use for free shipping. It's PIA160. However, the free shipping is only for orders over $35.00.
I just ordered it from Joanne's for 21.00 plus shipping of 5.00. Thanks for the heads up - great price.

Niagara now makes a spray starch with a fresh linen fragrance. I get mine at Wal-mart for about $1.59 instead of the $8.99 Mary Ellens Best Press. It works just as well for me and the price difference is a real plus too.

Magic Sizing has my vote. Sometimes starch is too much and I have heard about the bug thing with starch.
