No problem QuiltE. I still have a LONG way to go on this project (summer took precedent over sewing) but it will be done someday :-)

It's not fruits of the Spirit, but Cross and Crown is a nice block. I found the block on quilterscache and it should be pretty easy to resize for your needs. My quilt is here:

Happy Sewing
i have all of the blocks saved. I'm WAY behind I making them. They were a block of the Week. Mostly she took common blocks that had a name with something to do with a book of the Bible.

Thank you all for the help, this is exactly what I was looking for, Tartan and MamaBear in particular!!! The Facebook page has what I need. I think I could use the New Testament blocks that have been posted and should have plenty.

I have an applique cross design that I want to use for the center area of the quilt with blocks around it.
To ask a second question, the cross looks alot like a maltese cross and is about 18"x18". What size background fabric should I use? I'm thinking I want something in a rectangle shape, because the cross's shape appears to be more of a vertical rectangle even though it actually measures square.

The ladies of my sunday school class have been such great friends the last two years, I wanted to do something special for them to hang in our room. The room is also used by the staff for their meetings so I want to do something fitting for them too.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, Chris

I have seen very strong blocks and books. Somewhere I googled and later lost the link for scripture sayings.

I got all the blocks that have been published so far on Quilter's Loft. Alot of printing but it will worth it to have this as a reference later on. Really appreciate whoever has put all this work into researching the blocks and giving us a background them. Chris
