Question Big One Block Quilt - not Carpenter Star

I have to quickly make two large lap quilts and want to do a big one block design.. but not the carpenter star. I'm using team fabrics and don't want to have the triangle seams from making that quick quilt.

Can anyone suggest another big one block quilt that would showcase two team fabrics for each quilt? I will use complimentary colors for the other parts of the quilt.

What about Labyrinth? It is easy and makes a beautiful quilt.

What about a 4/9 patch alternating with your focus fabrics? Quick and easy. Add some borders and you're all set.

I loved this simple idea for a team quilt. I want to adapt it for an LSU or Saints quilt. It is a star pattern, and no, I don't know the exact pattern name.

I put this on the back of my t-shirt quilt. It's sort of a Swoon, but not quite, and was made with 8" units of 1/2 square triangles. It went together very quickly.
