Hello again ladies! Well I did my homework deciding on what steam iron I would purchase. I haven't gotten to the store yet, but I did get to the library and Consumer Reports magazine. They really made it quite easy for me. The #1 steam iron they recommended was T-Fal Ultraglide, they gave it 83% out of 100%, priced at $50. Then came Rowenta Focus, 83%, $75. Some of you also mentioned Shark irons. The Shark Rapido, got 67%, and $40. The one I think I'm going to go with is the Blk&Decker Steam Advantage, 78%, and $20. From all of your comments, it looks like to just buy one and take your chances :? Some of you LOVE your irons and others HATE the exact same brand, so I think I'm going with a low price and keep my fingers crossed! Thanks so much for all of your suggestions!

I got a Black & Decker Digital Advantage D2030 from Amazon before Christmas and I love it! Paid about $35 and it was the best money I ever spent. I had purchased as travel size Rowenta first and it leaked all over the place!
Good for you doing your homework. That is being an informed consumer.

I have an older Black and Decker Quick and Easy 420. It works great even after the cat knocked it over and off the ironing board and it cracked some of the plastic.

I bought myself a shark last month and am VERY pleased with it. I got the $35 one from walmart though.

I had a black and decker, and loved it. Left it for my son, when I moved here.
