I made my own 2 1/2 tool and just finished 4 wreaths for Christmas, two smaller and two larger. The only difference between the two is the smaller is 6 blocks x 6 blocks, the larger one is 8 blocks x 8 blocks. These are so much fun.

Thanks Kim, I just didn' want someone who is confused making these trying to figure it out on less fabric. I sent a tutorial to my sister and pictures and it looks so easy and is easy when you know what you are doing, but without trying it, it's a bit confusing.
One thing I know is very important, if you make your own template,, and now that I know there is a 1 1/2", I'm going to make my own, put a mark at the top so that your ruler is the same way in every block. Otherwise it can throw the entire twister around. So there is a top, and bottom, front and back.

this is the one I made with a 6½" template....I added 2 boarders and then when it was quilted I sent it to "Quilts of Valor" for a soldier...It was fun to do...I used 8" blocks but if I did it again I would use 8½".
can't remember what the final measurement was

If you look at my avatar, it is made with the 8" template and 10" squares I cut from dupioni silk. The quilt is a large lap size. It has silk/bamboo batting and a silk velvet backing with hand bound velvet binding.
