I'm so excited!

#1 - I finally bought a Featherweight. UPS is supposed to bring it today. Woo hoo! I keep seeing the adorable photos on here, and reading about how much y'all love them ... and couldn't resist buying one off eBay. I probably paid too much for it, but it's just been fully serviced and cleaned, and is supposed to be really really nice. I'll have my face pressed to the window looking for the UPS truck this afternoon! LOL! I've already named her Cricket. She was born on January 23, 1950. :)

#2 - DH is taking today and the weekend off work, so that he can help me set up my brand new sewing room! We've moved our bedroom to a smaller room, and are going to make the master bedroom my sewing room. The master bedroom isn't huge, but has much more space than the tiny 9'x9' room I'm using now! I plan to make DH a "man corner" so that he can play on his laptop or watch TV while I sew.

DH has always been supportive of my hobbies, but I was pleasantly surprised at how willing he was to turn our bedroom into a sewing room. And when I was showing him the photos of the Featherweight, he laughed and said "So buy it!". (He didn't have to tell me twice, either! ROFL! ;) ) He's such an awesome guy. :)

It should be a busy but fun weekend! :-D

Oh yea, Good for you! Have a wonderful weekend with her and hubby. Don't u just love supportive hubby's? I have one too! Took a spare bedroom, all his money he saved in a Polar Water jug and trotted me off to Lowe's to design a craft room. Cabinets, counters, woohoo. Looks like a kitchen. I was still working then and did not use it much. Was forced to "retire" 3 years ago and have used it quite a bit. Now I am in another spare bedroom with a sewing machine he bought me 10 years ago. I just began quilting and am loving it. Blessings.

All you do in bedrooms is sleep anyway! Right.......Hummmmmmmm.......

Anyway that makes much for sense using the bigger bedroom for the sewing room. You will have such fun arranging all that.

Congrats on getting Cricket and a larger sewing room!
I sure wish I could talk my DH into moving my sewing room into our master bedroom. I won't even ask because I know it's NOT going to happen.
Enjoy ALL your space!
