    Default Washable markers?

Has anyone tried using Crayola washable markers to mark their quilts? Good, bad, indifferent?

Yes but test on each fabric. I had one that wouldn't come out...was glad I tested first.

It seems that many people on here have had good luck with them.

I don't use Crayola, but found cheaper ones work well too (Crazyart). Absolutely do a test on a piece of every fabric before marking your quilt....some colors wash out better than others. I've found warm water works best. I love using them as there is always a color that will show the pattern, even on dark prints.

I always use washable Crayola markers. Chalk comes off too easily, and the iron-off chalk seems to rub off also, but not as quickly. I tried another brand of markers, but had to wash a couple times to get the marks out. I only use Crayola now. Now is the time to buy them while school supplies are a good price.

I bought some of the Crayola washable markers but, I haven't used them yet. I don't Mark my quilts, just do a large meander.

I use them and I love them. They do come off on my hands and the bed of my machine - - but that wipes right off not problem.

again I will say I tested the green marker on my yellow fabric. worked fine. then marked my quilt-I used a stencil and marked through that. evidently I marked harder and the markings did not wash out. I had to spray with everything I had and wash six times. I got the marks out. so careful!!!!
