Binding help for newbie

I always sew my bindings on the front by machine and hand stitch on the back. It gives nice finished binding. Maybe this method would work better for you.

Me, too Machine on the front, hand on back. I have LOTS more control, I make those binding so full, I think they look nicer that way.
