I've always used single because I was taught in a class that double threads "rub together" and that breaks down the fibers in them. The lady who taught the class was a Paducah winner, and I figured she must know what she was talking about.

Single thread, never thought about double. I use a small, blind stitch. Was just showing my niece today how binding 'works', & neither of us could really see the stitches in the binding we were looking at.

I've always used double but I think the single would look a little better. Will have to try it.

I use a single thread of Bottom Line - strong and it disappears regardless of what colour I use.

I've never used double, always single. Like others it is easy to hide and strong.
