    Go to The Quilters Cache and they have a pattern called,Tilting 4 patch. Use 4 different materials for the 4 patch and then another for the two sides. I would use a black w/white background for the two sides.

    Thank you! The first one is a Drunkard's Path variation, and I actually wrote a tutorial for it. It is REALLY easy - there is no curved piecing. You can find the tutorial here:

    Here is my quilt on a black background - still in progress. I need to quilt around the border and add the binding to it.

    We have also collected a group of fabrics with bright colors on black background. We thought they would make a great quilt, but haven't really figured out how, so we're in the same shape you are. We were able to finish a solid black background quilt. If you get any ideas, would you mind PMing me? I hate that these fabrics are just sitting here.
