Default Black Friday was my friend this year

My husband bought me a sweet 16 sit down machine!! It’s always been my dream machine after testing one out at a quilt show once. Instead I’ve gone through 2 Bailey’s which I liked and definitely got my money’s worth out of them, but recently I started dreaming about the Sweet 16 again. Our 40th anniversary is coming up in February so he got me my present early. 😍 It may be my present for a few years and I’m fine with that. I’ve finished one quilt on it so far and love it every bit as much as I thought I would. I’ll post my finished quilt as soon as I can get him to help me hold it up for a picture.

Congratulations! What a great gift.
If I had to wait for DH to buy me a machine I'd never get it even with a map with a big X on the machine. He doesn't have any desire to buy anything quilting related. He knows if it is something I wanted for quilting I'd already have it. I don't think to discuss it anymore, his eyes glaze over. I just have it delivered. LOL

Good for you. I too buy whatever I want. I don't have a quilting machine because I don't have room for one.

My friend just called me. She got the new Sweet Sixteen sit down machine for Christmas! If you are half as ecstatic as she is you are very happy indeed.

I can say I am green with envy. Maybe someday I will see such a gift. I am so happy for you. Congratulations.

Jingle, the Sweet 16 is a sit down machine which doesn't take up very much space (a fraction of the space needed for a long arm).

him/her: Congratulations on your new present! I just started watching videos of a gal from Australia who works as a rep. for the Handi Quilter co., and what she can do with the S.16 is amazing! I believe her name is Helen Godden. Sounds like you are already mastering the machine. Anxious to see some of your work.
