I love to make the "square in a square" block and wonder if anyone out there has a pattern for a queen size quilt using this block, maybe with an alternating different block. I'm trying to design a wedding quilt using that block as a major part of it. I'll be working mostly with fat quarters.

www.Quilterscache.com
has one..you can look blocks up by name or size...
i did the square in a square 2,they have...
you shouldn't need anymore than what you get from QC..on each block pattern page, if you look, they have names of quilters that have posted pictures of the block made into a quilt..

Thank you, but I'm not very good at drafting patterns. So I usually look for a whole-bed pattern that tells how to do the whole thing. I've created a few from scratch, but I really don't enjoy the drafting part of it.

Look up Jodi Burrows square in a square books and rulers. She has some pretty cool patterns. Her ruler makes it fast and very accurate.
