When making your blocks do you usually sew a 1/4" or a scant 1/4"? Or do you just use a scant when making blocks with points?

1/4" is mine. To make sure this happens, I read somewhere to put a stack of post-it-notes by my foot (This is so I don't have to really concentrate on my 1/4" foot). I start it probably about an 1 1/2" in front of my foot backwards. Actually really works!!! Now I can concentrate on other things.

Either is Ok, just make sure it is consistent thru out the entire quilt. :-D

After sewing for a while, the seam allowance "just sort of happens." I don't really overthink the blocks any longer. Straight pieces without points get less attention than those with points. I try to be consistent and it usually works out.

I like the scant 1/4 inch. Works best for me.

I make a practice block using a scant 1/4", and then I measure it... that is what works out best for me :D:D:D
