    Il agree with those who suggest a new bobbin case. These are only made of plastic. With regular use, they should be changed out every year. Also, the bobbin case stop may not be tight enough ( the stop holds case in place...if loose, it allows bobbin movement). Start saving for a newer machine, and ask your Janome/ Elna dealer to let you know when a good slightly used trade- in shows up 🙂

    I've never changed the bobbin case on my Janomes. I also experienced
    the wobbly bobbin (mostly when it starts getting empty). After a lot of
    head scratching I decided to put a Magic bobbin washer and that fixed it.
    I can now sew till the thread runs out. Will never sew without those
    silicone washers. They make all the difference.
