Default Bohin Mechanical Pencil

Does anyone on the board use the Bohin Mechanical chalk pencil and if so are you pleased with it? Also the miracle pounce powder? Many thanks.

Have both white and green lead, love the pencil. Will note though the green seems to fade after a day or so. So it isnt that great for whole cloth marking very easy to use and very clear lines

I have one with the white leads. It's great for marking dark solids.

The lines do sort of disappear on their own when the fabric is handled a lot.

It is the only marking pencil I use for applique. As said before, nice fine line, easy to see and easy to remove.

I used the Pounce powder. the wash out kind. It was good. the only complaint was I used a stencil that had vines and leaves. the leaves had pointed bits of plastic that the Pounce cover kept getting caught on. one is supposed to swipe the pounce across the stencil. not actually pounce. well, I ended up pouncing!! uses more powder but it worked.

Thanks so much for your input. It is sometimes hard to find some quilting tools in Canada, but I have found a source for the BMP so will be ordering one. Thanks again!

Golden Threads has pounce powder that isn't suppose to whipe off. Regular pounce powder comes off in the sewing machine.
