Bonnie's Mystery part 1 ?

can anyone tell me the size of the part one finished blocks should be? I am having a brain freeze on finding what the size of the block should be when done as I want to square some up that need it. I just reread the instructions and still lost. thanks for any hellp

The broken dishes unit should measure 4.5 inches x 4.5 inches.
