When I read the caption and first saw the picture - I thought no. Then I saw your second picture and yea, that would look great.

My first instinct was no, but when I saw your borders they looked great. Definitely go with the borders.

I don't care for borders; and leaving them off gives your quilt a very modern look. That said, I love the purple borders you have picked out and would certainly apply them to this quilt. Great choice!!
