    Default Border Opinions Please

    Have you ever looked at a quilt so long you just can’t decide on a border? I’m stumped and probably should have just picked a solid color and called it done, but here I am. Which do you think looks better? I am leaning towards the last one.
    As always, thank you for all your feedback!

    The last one is beautiful -- and so is your quilt. The last border frames the quilt instead of blending in with it. Gorgeous work!

    You do lovely stitching! Picture 2 or 5 would be a nice finish for your pretty top!

    One and three look the same to me. That's the one I prefer. Spectacular quilt!

    I like both 2 & 5 and probably lean more toward 2. Whichever you choose it is a beautiful quilt.

    I like the first one, but in addition I would like to add another narrow border of the rust color all around. I like having the bolder rust on the outside, rather than the softer gray.

    WOWZERS!!!!!!! An incredible quilt, this is!
    Is this a Bonnie Hunter pattern?

    Borders .... I would go with #2, with a few changes ......
    * Make the gold border narrower, as in #5
    * Broaden the rust/outer border

    Binding .... go with a flange binding in rust, and the flange in the green (or is it a grey?)

    Sitting here stunned with your quilt ..... the colours just happen to be "my" favourites, so it calls to me all the more!!!

    I love #2 best, but the last one is great too.
