It's already queen size as it is. None of my grandmother's quilts had borders so I would just put a dark blue solid color binding on it and call it done.

I think the pink border would work. I'd make it a thin strip.

A quilt of this age and style probably didn't have borders, but a border would help to stablize the many seams on the edge. I think it is really great just the way it is! get a cool backing fabric and it could be reversable from vintage to modern or whatever you like! I love it.
