There already is a large amount of reds. I think the black will add balance and I really like the look of your black border.

I was thinking along these lines as well - black stop border and then either of the reds for the outer border.

Definitely black. It pops out the inner design

if you want the red to be the star...pick grey or black. If you want the black to pop, pick the red. The border makes the matching color in the quilt recede some. Its just a matter of what you want the eye to 'see'
