burnsk, you'll know the Q P if you run into any, they say" you're supposed to do it this way, or you shouldn't have done it that way, it has to be this size or this color and can't be that" get it? they have lots of RULES. that's why we don't allow them here, we do things that make US happy.
so have fun and make your quilt any way you like it!

Oooohhh - Sounds like someone that wouldn't like my quilts. My quilts are from my heart and my heart doesn't have rules. I think I work with someone who might have applied for the job, though. There's a quilt shop here in Michigan that I love going to - the gal always tells me, "Do what feels good". I think that's a great "rule" and a lot of fun.

Your points are not sharp, That color does not go with the others, I wouldn't have done it that way, Your border has to be 1/2 the width of the block, the stitches are too big, your seams aren't even........ That is the quilt police. And as Boo said, they never smile when they are looking at the quilt. We don't want those QP here. We are creative, positive, spontaneous, free-spirited fabric artists who never make mistakes. They are all learning experiences. :-)

AND to top it all off, I've never seen a qp show their 'work' with any enjoyment. I only see them with the evil eye on mine. Pleasure is never work, it's pleasure and it's always from the heart.

God save us from the qp!

So right, Sharon, there are too many rules in life anyway, so why can't we just quilt how we wish and get maximum enjoyment - there's so little of that around anyway, maybe they are jealous?
