So i bought a Dream Quilter 15x with Dream Motion Pro. No tablet came with it so I am putting a Surface Pro 9 on it. What king of cord is used to connect the table to the machine?

Any tablet likely needs to have the interface software installed. You should contact whoever makes the Dream Quilter to get the necessary downloads and information on how to set it up. Just adding a tablet isn't going to be enough - you need to make sure it's a compatible tablet and that you have the right software loaded. That comes from the manufacturer.
