Has anyone every used regular quilting batting when making these totes? Since you quilt them any way, why not?
Also for the lady's that sell them, how much do you charge. I was thnking about $25.00-$35.00, But don't really know.

I believe regular batting would be fine, but I don't quilt mine, so I use the fuseable fleece. One of my friends sells them for $50.00. I wouldn't buy it for that price, but she has sold several.

I've only used regular batting and they've always turned out great.

I wouldn't sell the ones I make for under $50.

I always use fusible fleece. Not sure that it makes a huge difference but I like working with it. As for pricing...I think $50 is a fair price. People I know don't think twice about spending that much (or more) for Vera Bradley bags. I figure I usually have about $30 in supplies and I would also need to be be compensated for my time.

I think it depends on the size, I have purchased the large one for 48.00 and the small for 35.00 that was also embroidered so it was well worth it.

I use fusible fleece and you might add up how much it costs to make a bow tuck tote. My costs (with no labor) is about $ 25-28 per tote - I charged 60.00 but may drop it to 50. I think you would be surprised how much it costs to make one.
