Brother PE500
Hi Guys,
Does anybody out there have this machine? My daughter is looking to buy an entry level embroidery machine and she has seen this at a reasonable price..... she phoned me to ask my opinion and thought and I couldn't say to much as I have the 4000D and Bernina 630 which are very different.
Any comments, notes or advice would be extremely helpful!
Hugs

It only has the capability to do a 4x4 design, the screen is very small and hard to read, it is all black does not show the different colors. I have the Brother 6 needle and the Brother 1250D and love the reliability of Brother machines. The 1250D does not have a color screen either and I find it hard to read it. None of the Brother smaller machines have a color screen. If it were my choice I'd save up for a machine with a 5x7 embroidering field. The Brother machines are great and easy to learn.

Me personally I would get the PE700 because it has the bigger hoop. I know a lot of people outgrow the 4x4 area fast and even those entry level run about 400. I would want something I could grow into. I haven't heard anything bad about any of the brother embroidery machines so the 900 should be fine if she doesn't plan on doing large designs
