Your dog has excellent taste! I vote for the butterfly buttons. It adds a nice touch.

I love the buttons on the quilt, but was wondering how old your dog was when she learned to quilt, I have a dog that is 7 years old and looks just like yours, but so far no quilting.

I did not read all of the posts but I like either way. As someone mentioned, it would be lumpy if used for a quilt. The other consideration is what the category is she is going to enter it in. If it is under child's quilt, the buttons might be considered a choking hazard?

She did a great job on her quilt. Yes, add the butterfly buttons.
