Mine has never come in plastic - only a box... I used to leave it in the box until needed - now it's just standing in the corner. I lay it on the bad when I need to cut some of it off.

I like the wall storage ideas. Right now I just have it tucked into the closet- standing up. I see if has wrinkles on the end it is standing on. Was going to take it to the basement and lay it on the unused bed. Have 2 rolls- 1 w&n and 1 heirloom.

Love them both and the ability to just roll out what I need when I need it. Much cheaper in the long run rather than watching for it to go on sale and clipping coupons.

The store will give you a cardboard roll so you can roll it. That helps instead of having a huge folded mass. We buy it by the box at Hancock or Joann, and we leave it in th box, cutting a slit along one long side, and pull it out through there. I have never had any distortion of the batting by pulling it that way. The roll turns easily inside the box.

I love the idea of hanging from the ceiling . I think that would work in my room I have no more wall space. I would have to duck though my ceiling slants. :-)

I bought a TON of quilt batting and I use the super huge space bags. Roll batting as tightly as possible, stuff it into the space bag (the space bags come in square, rectangle and round tube shapes), open the little air vent deal and then use the vacuum on it to suck out all the air. Just a suggestion!

Just yesterday I saw Space Bags designed to store coats and jackets or other large items and still hang in our closet, so my goal is to "suck the air out of a lot of "stuff" hanging in my closet, still have it hanging, but make room for something like a large roll of the warm and natural.

my Joanns rolls mine for me just like at the store but I have been know to take it off and just fold it...I does take less room if you don't have a place to stand it up...But the bath tub is a good place if you don't use the shower there

It should be stored in a horizontal position - otherwise the batting shifts down with gravity and it will wrinkle/pull at the bottom.

You can glue together several layers of card board, strong
enough to protect it for years.

And, speaking of Jo Anne's..question. Can you use two or more
coupons in one visit? I volunteer with a local Blood Bank and they
gave me a very nice gift card to JoAnne's (after asking where I
wanted to shop.) There are several things I want, and will be able
to get all of them if I shop carefully.
