I am a fairly recent quilter who is in a tizzy about what to do for my dd. I made quilts for the older boys for boy scouts with the help of a pattern that I bought at my first quilt show. Now I have to do something with the gs fabrics that I picked up but they have badges and what not scattered on the fabric. The badges are approx. 1.5 " each so I need something with a large design. Any suggestions?

Can you make larger blocks with your fabric as the center block showing multiple badges, surround with green or tan or one of the colors in the badges?

bluadept I was a girlschout when I was young. I loved the girl scouts. I am a tin collector and I would like to send her a girl scout tin to go along with her girl scout quilt. PM me her name and address and I will get it right out to her. How about using uniforms she has outgrown? You could use the solid green and put duplicate patches from the uniforms and duplicate badges she earns on the solid squares. Did I say that right?

I made a cub scout quilt and made a big central square sing trinagle of the four years of neckerchiefs they wore - do girl scouts have a similar raking material or could you do 4 square with their yearly rank insignia on it? Then just add the GS fabric in layers/borders around it?
