Look at the third row down...I have this fabric and it is gorgeous! It's fun but classy, but it has a lot of metallic in it. It's a pretty new line, so easy to find. I'm using it in a quilt right now. The "Dove" color is the best!! Hope you like it- the pictures don't do it justice.
I am totally in agreement with petpainter...great focus fabric! That design will go nicely with antiques and mixture of other furniture styles. Some coordinates in the line are on the money, a well chosen metallic for some added impact, perhaps a Kona solid or even ombre in yellow, turquoise mini for sashing ...and on and on.

I love the Dove color in #28's post also! Absolutely gorgeous - makes me want to redo my room in that also!

You've got a ton of great suggestions already, but I'm going to throw one in as well. Take a look at moda's mixologie line. There are some really nice soft aquas and yellows combined with grey. Here is a hunter's star block I made using these. The background fabric is from robert kaufman architextures line. Hope this helps. I'm sorry your friend is struggling, I can't imagine how hard that must be! Hugs.

sewluxfabrics.com has some sale fabrics that you might like. I have had great service and good quqlity material from them. You will need to look thru the sale pages as they are not by color!

Everyone has shown me fabulous fabrics. And the one that petstitcher posted with the metallic is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

But I found one today. I had to go to Alexandria today, and stopped by a small fabric store there. Bonny's Sewing & Fabric had one that I could not pass up. I think it is just beautiful.

Now, I have to figure out what pattern to use so that the beauty of the pattern shows through.
