I'd vote for a crazy quilt. It's not conventional, but you could even use the double knits if they were favorite pieces of clothing back in the day!

Thanks for all the ideas. I think I'll use QuiltnNan's idea, since I've never attempted a crazy quilt before, and feel a little intimidated by them. If it turns out ok I'll post a picture when I'm through with it. Thanks again, Connie
