I would love to make a quilt for my daughter's best friend for
graduation (highschool) this year. She loves vintage like roses, cottage style. Don't know what kind of pattern I should choose.
I would love to try scalopped border for this quilt as well and want do do a lap size. Any suggestions?

She might like those French Roses that everyone has been doing.

Moda's Oasis line or a Moda Buttercup I saw Tuesday would be perfect fabrics. Eleanor Burns has a easy quilt 'How Charming" that is scalloped. http://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponlin...?i=20199&page=
or this one from Allison Quilt Designs http://www.allisonquiltdesigns.com/p...dTimeLarge.jpg
Here's a special one with roses. http://www.allisonquiltdesigns.com/p...per-Rosesa.jpg

You'd have to add scallops to the second two, but that's not hard. I love the Paper Roses if you're ambitious.

I saw the Eleanor Burns "How Charming" finished today by a friend at church. It is a beautiful quilt! Came home and ordered the pattern.
