I think that is an interesting way to do binding...on some quilts. Or may try it on some placemats or coasters

The blog on the second link showing cutting on the bias. The fabric would act like the chenille projects that were popular a few years ago, it curls and fluffs some more than fraying, because of the bias.

I dont think it will fray much unless it is cut on the bias
