I know that its been a while since the pattern came out but I’m in the process of making it and my problem is that I loaned my book to my friend a while back before I actually decided to make one. So of course now she can’t find the book. The thing is the only thing I need is to find out how many rows I would need for a queen size bed quilt. Can any of you help me with this information? I would so appreciate it.

Maybe this will help, the pattern looks alike and if the dimensions are the same then you just look and see how many rows. She also has a video on this quilt, so much fun! Hope this helps!

Thanks, I was and probably should have said something about Jordan fabric because she did her version of the quilt but she didn’t do dimensions for a queen size. The original design was from the book Charm School by Vanessa Goetzen, that’s the book I had! Again thank you for trying.

I really don’t want to buy the book again since I’ve already bought it, like I said I loaned it to someone who can’t find it. I’ve already made a lot of the blocks just needed to know how many are needed for a queen size quilt.

Try the library - although not maybe an option since many are closed.

EasyPeezy

Just measure the diagonal (finished size) then divide the length of your quilt
by the diagonal. Do the same for the width.
If you want your quilt to be 100" long and the diagonal is 12".
this means 100/12= 8.33 blocks. Round up or down.
Make a sketch on graph paper.

If you don't want to do the math, put your blocks on the bed
overlapping them to account for the seams. This should give
you a good idea on the number of blocks you need lengthwise
and widthwise.

Easy Peezy have you seen the quilt that I am referring to? It’s set on the diagonal with many setting triangles. First row is one block two triangles, second row three blocks, third is five etc once you get to the center you decrease always with triangles and setting corners. So could you explain how I am to use your equation.
I never thought asking this question would be so difficult, I really thought someone would have the book and just look for the answer. I really appreciate your responses but I guess my only recourse is to do exactly what I didn’t want to do because of the number of blocks but I guess I’ll have to take them down and spread them out on the bed.
