I used mine to make twister placemats cause that's the size of the block to start the twister pattern and I love them

there are a few great books out there for charm squares- the 2 I have are called 'Nickel Quilts' more Nickel quilts---they have lots of great patterns in them- and creative ways to use those 5" squares. I know there are more than the 2 I have- do a search for ' Nickel Quilts'

I've made it larger just by adding more vertical strips and making them longer.

Lots of good ideas posted here. I, too, have a stack of 5" squares that were given to me. I've done a couple of coin quilts using Moda Bake Shop. They are easy and come out nice. The two I've done were crib size but you could certainly make them larger. I haven't seen the windowpane one before but I may try that next.

I love the books by Pat Speth for 5" squares. did couple of exchanges in our guild for these so I have lots of them her quilts are fun and easy.. some need pairs of squares other just need individual squares. I just finished one of hers call Mt Hood for our bed it is large queen.. have fun

Roslynd. thank you for starting this thread. a lot of good ideas here for my stacked up charm squares. hadn't really decided what to do with them. now i can get busy.
