These runners would make nice Wedding Shower gifts for the New Bride to be... many times newly weds don't have any Seasonal decorations that can be really used and even better yet Hand made with Love from a Special Aunt or Grandma... or Friend.

I do make table runners in Christmas fabric for gifts, but I also like to back them with fabric that can be used for another holiday and/or something that could be used year round. I've also made table runners using snowmen fabric or winter inspired fabric - that way it can be used until spring, and then with a backing of springtime fabric, so it can be used longer.

I know this is a personal preference~ I just want to see how many of you tend to go each way!

    Thanks
Many of us observe St. Nick's day, Dec. 6. That is the day I give gifts that are Christmasy--------------got the rest of December and until the 12th day of Christmas to enjoy. 12th day is also Epiphany, Jan 6.

The only time I make Christmas Themed things are for me. I want things that I make for gifts to be able to use all year long.

I would do a neutral theme to be used any time of the year for anything.

I would make it something they could use year round. I know that's what I would like.

I think something that can be used year round is nicer - that is just my own opinion - however I love Christmas and all the decorating - but I only use my "Christmas" stuff during that time - it would be nice to get a gift that can be used other times.

I'm also going to make some runners for Christmas and had the same question........these are such good ideas.
I like the reversible one the best. So I better get cracking.......I have 4 grown children and have just finished
making them 2 sets of pillow cases each. All from my stash! Now for the runners.

I have made gifts for Christmas and used snowman or snowflake fabric. Then they can use it all Winter.
