How do you fix material cut on the bias that got stretched while sewing? I am sick. This quilt is for my husband and I hope I did not ruin it. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

take it apart- wet it= press it carefully= being very careful to not stretch it again...and resew---very carefully-with lots of pins- slowly...if it is stretched too out of whack you will need to cut new pieces- bias edges really take alot of care- not to (iron) but to only press- lots of pins- slow stitching making sure to not stretch as you stitch.
it is alot easier to when possible use a square, stitch the diagonal then trim- so you don't have to handle those bias edges- but it is not always possible

Yes....not a lot you can do to save them. Also suggest using good spray starch when pressing to help them not to warp.

I'll also add what Liz Porter says: "Sew with a baggy bottom!". What that means is that the feeddogs will assist in easing some of the extra material. If one fabric is slightly longer than the other, I match the ends and "sew with a baggy bottom". It may help once the previous advice has been followed of wetting, pressing, etc.. Best wishes to you!
