I always try to give at least some gifts to at least closest family. Money gets tighter and even homemade sometimes gets expensive. Everyone seems to love them. Must get started xmas not to far off. Good luck everyone getting done. Sue

I made all my gifts last year. I think I spent $120 for over 25 people. This year I'm in the process of moving and won't have the time to make anything so my friends and family will have to be happy with cards and cookies.

Receiving a homemade gift is very special to me. I also like to make gifts for my family and friends.

Last Christmas I made fleece scarves with fabric accents for Friends & their kids. They all loved them! And I don't think anyone thinks of something handmade as "cheap". Unless they are selfish boors that is. And in that case any gift is probably not "good enough" for them. So, go for it, make something and enjoy giving because you made it all yourself.

For an idea to make for the men in the family., one year I made luggage tags for everyone from themed fabrics, they were really popular for gym bags, diaper bags, back packs. Also have made barbecue aprons, and tool rolls, and bucket caddies. These are not all quilted but they do use stash :)
