I would like to make a Christmas Lap Quilt. Does anyone have any suggestions what pattern to use. I would like to do something easy and fast as I have only been quilting since February.

I'd suggest a Turning Twenty pattern using all kinds of Christmas fabrics. It is an easy pattern.

Thanks that is a good idea but don't you have to buy 20 fat quarters to make that? Any other thoughts from anyone.

I am currently working on one that is a Nine Patch in Christmas fabrics. You can see it in the picture section under the post "For the UFO Challenge". Nine Patch is very easy but can look stunning if the blocks are turned on point.

Warm Wishes is really easy and quick. Here's links to a crib size and a larger bed quilt. It's easy to change the size by adding or omitting blocks.

Hi quilter2,

Here's a nice FREE pattern (for signing up) called "Nine Patch Christmas Scrap". You can easily make it from scraps on hand and it appears to be an easy pattern. The only applique is for the Christmas trees. I've already downloaded it and printed it for myself and plan to make one soon.

Thanks thismomquilts for your idea for a Turning Twenty. I'm doing this but just a smaller size where I only need 12 fat quarters. Got my Christmas fabric and started cutting pieces. It seems like it will be easy and fast. Great suggestion.
