Christmas in May for me- I知 so excited, I could burst!

So I致e been researching new sewing machines hard and heavy for the past few weeks. I had set myself a $1k budget...... Then by chance I happened upon a great financing offer from Janome. I had narrowed down my choices to the 4021Q, and a 6500 from Amazon.
As the sewing expert answered my questions, she mentioned that a good customer had upgraded her barely used sewing machine, and they had a great deal on a Memory Craft 9700. Well I was honest with her and said I hadn稚 even researched the Horizon models because I wanted a sewing machine, not a car...... Well after she showed me all the bells and whistles on this thing and the less than half priced offer, I jumped on it. 48 months intrest free financing and a few hundred in 杜ust haves..... I am the proud owner of this amazing machine. They even threw in a mobile tote. I feel like Christmas morning.

No, I haven’t. Hubby came home a little dehydrated and not feeling well, so I had to make a quick grocery run for ingredients for his fav smoothie. I hope to watch the dvd later when he’s sleeping and read the manual. I’m a little awed by everything and I want to do some homework first. (I’m probably going to be up all night! So I can plug it in tomorrow).

If your dealer included classes, attend all of them.

I love it when I get a great deal. Especially, when I have been looking at the economy model and now I can get a Cadillac. I look forward to seeing your new projects.

Color me green with envy - you really did great! Let us know how it goes.

I am guessing you got it from Edward's Sewing Center, which is my favorite shop in the area. I love Janome machines! The people there are very helpful and Chad is hands down the best service guy on Janome's and about any machine for that matter. Congrats and enjoy!

Congratulations on getting your new best friend. I have his/her older relative, ole 7700, and I love him. I hope you have as many happy hours with your new 9700 and I have had with my old boy.

Yes summit bay, it was Edward’s. Thanks for the recommendation on Chad. He examined the machine before Nese (sp?) gave me an overview on the machine. I inherited a very heavy early 60’s Singer from my Mom. I think she said it was the first one that went in reverse. I abused the heck out of it and I want to get it cleaned up and serviced.

I’ve only ever had temporary sewing areas.... kitchen table, but with my new Cadillac, “Honey” deserves her own dedicated space.

I’ve read my manual twice and watched every overview video on YouTube I think. As soon as I finish making my new pressing board and find the right chair, I’m in business.

I'm still using my 4800, too. It was the same story as Cindy's that someone had gotten it new, decided it didn't have the features she wanted so traded it. I've sewn a million miles with this machine--maybe 2 million by now! It has all the features I want/need except I wish it had a serpentine stitch. There are times I wish for a bigger harp but not at the price. And like Cindy, the shop that services this machine is fantastic! Dana is another of the best for service.

You'll love it. I have the Janome 6600 Professional and it is a workhorse. Mine has 9" harp space and just those extra 3" is a big improvement for FMQ. Enjoy!
