Cincinnati Quilt Show 2013
I want to express my thanks to any and all of our members who might have been part of the quilt show. The quilts were hung and lighted like the works of art that they are. I had a piece in the Hoffman collection, and I was so pleased to see the care that was taken. Many Thanks!

The Quilt Show part was nice and I loved the fabric for the Hoffman challenge this year. Which quilt was yours?
But what happened to the vendor section. Good grief! There had to be 2 dozen major exhibitors that were MIA. I counted there were only 109 vendors, take out the mops, vibrating cushions, etc and I think there were under 100 quilting/crafting related booths. I think the Madison show is bigger than Cincinnati was.
We were truly disappointed. I came loaded for bear with money and a list and walked out with money and half of my list. Accuquilt was not there, Olfa was not there. I did not see YLI, Horn, and many others.
There were four of us and we decided to not go to the International Quilt Fest again although we have gone probably 10 or more times. If we go to a show, we will go to Paducah. Essentially the same drive.

Mine was the first one on the left on the first row -- trellis with whimsical flowers, mixed up green batik materials. The fabric for this year's challenge is gorgeous. This was my first show in Cincy and second total. I was surprised it wasn't bigger, but didn't have any expectations. I found the iron I was looking for. I understand that this quilt show will move back to Chicago next year. Might be closer for you. We are hoping to go to Paducah in 2014, but it's about twice as far for us. So that means - we'll have to stayed at least one night! lol What a problem?
