Oh great!! I have everything but haven't started yet. It turned warm and my husband and I have been working in the yard every day all day long for the last couple of weeks....laying sod and cleaning out islands and laying gobs of mulch. Yes...please let's keep in touch! Will start my first block soon!

I bought the Australian lady's pattern. The original quilt is in the Museum of Folk Art in NYC. In fact, it is not a quilt at all, just a top. I've started making the Bride's block. It will take a long time to finish this quilt!

Yes, the pattern is by the Austrailian quilter Corliss Searcey. I ordered my pattern from Austrailia. I was thinking of starting with the bride block too. I have two other appliqué quilts in progress...so I know it is going to take me awhile to do this one. I am looking forward to starting it.

There is a blog with a bunch of people making this quilt. I am not one of them but I love looking at all the pictures of their blocks. Maybe someday.

I spent a year making Settler's Pride by Maggie Bonanomi but now want to do with Civil Ward Quilt. Now I cannot find kits or patterns anywhere. Any ideas? Yes, I am the type that need it kitted or as a BOM. I would love doing it. Any info. is appreciated. Constance from Utah.

Latecomer here. Love the quilt. One of the few I have done as a BOM. Doing it with 3 other quilters. I smile whenever Iook at it! Have finished 10 blocks. Partial on 6. Working on borders now.

I have made one block and love it!! I have so many UFO's but couldn't wait to try it. I told myself now that I have timber some UFO's completed first before I really get into the CWB quilt. My passion is applique. I think this will end up being my favorite quilt!

Appliqué has been my fav for years. I loved doing Enchanted Autumn, but CWB just amuses me so much, but SO many leaves. Glad to know someone else is doing it. My avatar is my latest app project (machine) from a class with Annette Kennedy.
