I just cleaned up mine and now I am frozen by the level of organization. I walk in - look around and walk out. Don't wanna mess it up.

My sewing room doesn't have a closet. I am thinking that is a very good thing. I would lose all sorts of things.

I figured out how to store my batting - space bags! I have a box that I got from a discount store a while back and it is just sitting doing nothing - now one or two bags will hold the non warm n natural type. Back when I bought the bags, I was thinking ok change out summer and winter clothes, so I got 2 boxes of 5 bags each different sizes.
In the process of moving books, and magazines now. They are residing in totes on the floor.

no still looking for the ruler - it is a small one - a one inch by 6 inch. I had 2 others and knew where they were but this one is hidden pretty well lol. I think it grew feet and walked away!

It's coming together. And I didn't have as much stuff as I thought.

Good luck with your cleaning. You'll love it when you're done.
I know having stuff in several rooms - pain in the rear. I am going to mark things as I go - found my wonderful machine that prints out labels after you turn the one part and squeeze - punches out the letters.

yes please, we like to see that we are not the only ones with "messy" sewing rooms.
It's only messy cause I dumped stuff here there and everywhere to clean lol. I keep it neat when I sew. With the dogs coming in and out, have to. No pins, needles etc on the floor period, my feet might get stuck as I love to walk around barefoot.

I used spacebags a few years ago to store batting but they didn't seem to hold their vacuum and expanded horribly after a few weeks! I may try some new ones, maybe they are better now. How old are yours?

My sewing room is a total mess. Creative clutter is better then idle neatness!

Wow - I can see carpet! I know there's some somewhere in my sewing room but it's over 30 years old so I keep it well covered!
