I want to make a small hanging quilt for my dad's apartment door. He lives in a retirement community and he currently has a post it note he sticks on his door inviting his neighbors in for a cup of coffee. I have seen tons of coffee themed fabric, but I would like to put a center square that says something like "come on in, the coffee's on" or words to that effect. Do you have any suggestions, or have you seen anything like that?

I thought about the embroidery or cross stitch, but I it would be very time consuming to graph it out and stitch it. But applique might be faster, not that I've tried it yet LOL

We have a lot of coffee fabrics:

This one has the words "Open 24 hours"... would that be a possibility? Or "Coffee... served fresh and hot"?
