I really like red or orange with purple. Of course you would need to check for reds with a blue undertone (providing your purple has a blue undertone).

Blues also work fabulously well with purples.

I tried a quilt with green and purple and it turned out to be georgeous. I used the same values of green and purple and it worked the best, but go with what you think looks the best.....
