I love turquoise but I don't think Orange would go well.

Turquoise and burnt orange would seem to be more of a dark batiky look, needing some purple.
I think browns, & whites would be more bright and uplifting.

but I don't have a color wheel, so don't listen to me.

Teal and a strong peach go really well. Love that quilt.

Depending on the tones, turquoise and burnt orange can go well together. The more blue is in the turquoise, the more you want the orange to tend toward yellow. If the turquoise is more to the green side, you'll want the orange to tend toward the red, or even leave the orange spectrum entirely and veer towards magenta/purple. "Turquoise" can mean a lot of different things.

Personally, I think coral is a safer choice for more shades of blue-green. I do love orange but it can be a little tricky to work with.

I'd do a Terciary ( sp?) formula..... in stead of straight across, use the 2 colors to either side, does that make sense?... what do those look like to you?

Agree!! We need to remember what one calls turquoise, another will have another colour shade in mind. Likewise for all the oranges, corals, rusts, etc.

Here's two of those two working together in a quilt!
