For piecing I use Aurifil 50 wt cotton. The gals in my friendship quilting group all use Aurifil as well. We have Pfaffs and Janomes.

I hand quilt and figured the more epensive thread must be better..I was wrong..I went back to my Coats and Clark and have less breakage and fraying

My sewing machine is so picky and every thread I tried kept breaking until I tried Gutermann cones. Now I have no breakage. But it has to be the cones!

I tried Gutermann (see my post) and it worked fine. Stocked up today at JoAnn's since it was 40% off.
