Default Cookies for Thanksgiving!

Every year I give my children cookies to bring home after dinner. This year the same. Chocolate chip, Mexican Wedding Cakes, and peanut butter blossoms. I don't use Hershey kisses for the PBB. Instead use mini peanut butter cups. We like those better. I also make chex mix but not the savory. I use caramel corn syrup recipe instead and honey roasted peanut. DH always says if he had a glass of milk with his chex mix it'd be breakfast...lol

That’s so lovely! I’ll have to try the PBB with a peanut butter cup. It only makes sense when you think about it. Thanks for the tip!

Make sure you take the paper liner off before sticking it into the cookie!!!

Naturally. 😊 No different than peeling the foil off the kisses. It’s kind of tedious but the end result is worth it.

Sounds like a fun project.

We have decided to not have a Thanksgiving gathering due to Covid so after about 40 years I don't have to prepare a meal.
Will be different but our world is a different place now. I am just thankful for my faith, health and family.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you no matter if/how you celebrate.

I make Mexican wedding cakes every year. My recipe calls them Russian Tea Cakes but they're the same thing.
I like your idea for the peanut blossoms. I'm going to try it, thanks!
I make the cookie really small so that the Hershey kiss is on most of it.

Wow--that is so nice! And way more energy that I have right now--we just hope to get the garage cleaned out tomorrow!

Wow! I wish I could plan my Thanksgiving dinner. But with COVID it will just be hubby and me. Our kids and grandkids are from too many places and hubby is high risk. But we will have each other. We count our blessings.

I always make cookies for the neighbors for a little Christmas treat but not sure I will do it this year.

We will have our usual Thanksgiving. I always want to make cookies but after making 4-6 Pumpkin pies and dressing I am out of energy. I love Thanksgiving dinner and nothing will stop me.
