I'll see if I can get your original picture corner block turned in with dark corners here.
I'm trying to use EQ5 and the cute PDF writer to get the block on here, looks like you can see it in my EQ if you click on download.

I'm almost thinking you might need to modify the two blocks next to your corner as well. Going to go play with possibilities!

OK, one solution I came up with:

block next to corner (vertical side) - big hst of sky, big hst of next long side of pyramid
actual corner block.- big hst of sky and small hst of each pyramid fabic across corner
block next to corner (top, horizontal side) - big hst of sky, small hst of each pyramid fabric, continuing pattern, but not completing next big side of pyramid

So you end up with sky as the three large hst facing the inside of the corner and partial pyramids continuing around.

    Clear as mud???

Can you give us some idea of the rest of the pattern? What will the points be aiming at and what away from. That would certainly make a difference in the design of the border as far as balance and scale are concerned. You need visual weight on the side opposite the sky fabric to anchor the triangles, imho.

Haven't mastered posting other than words yet.

Like that solution better than the one I came up with...more balanced color-wise. Mine would have had too much sky there at the corner. This will look much more 'finished'.

Is this the final border, at least of this section?

I think I'd like to see a repeat of the solid yellow and the green print (in that order) as your next step.

Really like what I see here!

How about something like this? Top is inside, bottom is outside.
    (please forgive the rough sketch)

thank you so much ghostrider that looks great. As I already did the outwards corner I think I will go with the full HST version this time but sure will keep your solution in mind.

And for the yellow/green border. I was planning on a final border in a solid color and the binding with a print. I have to go step by step
