I have a pattern that is similar to a OBW. I am confused about what fabric works... would something like this picture work??

IMHO it doesn't have enough colors or variation in the print... but I have been wrong before  :D:D:D

I agree with amma. don't think there is enough variation for a OBW, might work for a 4 patch posey.

I have to agree with Amma here. While it is beautiful fabric, I do not see an emerging pattern for a OBW. It's almost like there is not enough free space (color-wise) to give you the visual effect that I believe you want. This is not to be said that it can't be done, BUT, I do not think that you will see the results that your mind envisions. Sorry; I don't mean to be a poopy head.

the only way to tell if it would work is to get two mirrors and place on the fabric to see how it would look.

Actually, that is the pattern, a 4 patch posey. Couldnt think of it till you said it. :) So, that fabric may work for that?

If it is atleast a medium scale print, I wouldn't be afraid to try it on a 4 patch posey :D:D:D

Not a poopy head at all! I really have no clue what fabric to use. :) Thanks for the insight!

I have to agree with everyone, I would want more color. I would be afraid that you would be less than happy.

My suggestion would be to find a fabric with a larger scale print.

Also be sure you measure the repeat to make sure you buy enough fabric.

Here is a pic of the four patch posie that I did. If you look on the second page you will see the original fabric. Those flowers are about 3 inches across and the uneven design in the fabric resulted in lots of variations in the blocks..
