Has anyone made this quilt? I have all the strips put together for throw size, so the middle of the quilt is complete. I'm having a real problem following directions to trim all 4 sides. Once trimmed, the outside edges of the quilt are bias. I just don't see how to trim the edges. I'm feeling really stupid, but can someone enlighten me?

I did not at it overly closely but perhaps you could mark placement lines for your border, sew on the borders and then trim thus not having an issue with bias floating around all over the place????

Thank you. Shortly after writing the first post, I saw "the light" and pretty much did what you just suggested.

I made this quilt and yes, the setting triangles are bias edges that you have to be so careful with. I did an 1/8" tiny stitch to keep the edges from stretching. I just have to piece the backing and it is ready to go to the charity LAQ.

that's a pretty one -- if you have ever made garments, the term they use is "stay stitch". think i would try that around the edges before i did any cutting! it will make it a lot easier!

I think it is called cotton candy because of the pinks. Usually the color I think of when buying cotton candy.
