    Is this possible? None of the vintage quilts I am repairing have borders. One is quite small (I think made for a twin bed). I would like to add some type of border to make it a bit larger.

    I should have mentioned it is basically a scrap quilt.

    one way to do it is to use a method similar to the Betty Cotton technique of connecting sections.

    Owner is not a ruffle person. Has to be pretty plain.
    My Avatar is Missouri Star but turned. My Grandmother and Great Grandmother who made the quilt were from Missouri. I'll have to search for the Betty Cotton technique as soon as the ball games are over.
